Today's Limited Supply Challenge, #147, is to take one of our own cards and produce a simplified version of it. This is an excellent idea, and couldn't have come at a more opportune time, since I am STILL stamping C'mas cards for this year! I have a hard time creating anything simple, but for mass producing quantities of cards it is an absolute necessity. So here is my simplified version of this card:
The original version had a metal eyelet charm ornament on it secured with a brad, and a ribbon tied around it. In the simpler version I stamped the little bird ornament on instead, and hand drew the ornament hanger and bow with a red pen. I'd also hand drawn with a Versamark over the branch and embossed with snow EP, and I left that off.
The CS is Whisper White, the branch (I think) is from Outlines, the little bird is from Stampotique Originals, the sentiment is from Peaceful Wishes. I'm trying to decide if the snowflake brad looks good or makes it too cluttered looking. What do you think?
Thanks for looking, and Happy Holidays to All!
Maddy
P.S.- Anyone who sends me a holiday card will get one back in return, but I'm not telling you which one, so it'll be a surprise! :-)

I like it better with no brad. I do not think the brad looks cluttered, I just think it is too *hard* looking compared to all the other shapes and materials you have used. Put those puppies back in your stash Maddy!!!

I love the torn bottom, the cute bird hanging and the snowflake brad. I love that it is white like the cardstock. Wonderful take on the challenge Maddy!

I like the pine branch, the torn edge, the sentiment and the cute bird ornament and how you created it. Although the card looks pretty, with or without the brad, I would probably not use it. I tend towards the *plainer cards* so I am no help. *grin*
